Our Nature Play sessions are made for slow mornings, curious little hands and the kind of play that takes on a life of its own.
Each week brings a new theme, with thoughtfully curated sensory and play invitations designed for different developmental stages, interests and ways of exploring. Children can wander, wonder, make a glorious mess and follow whatever sparks their curiosity with no right way to play and no rush to move on.
And it’s a space for grown-ups, too. A warm, nurturing place where you can finally exhale, join in with your little one, connect with other families and perhaps even make a few lasting friendships along the way.

Meet Katie
Founder of Sprout & Bloom
I’m Katie, a Mum of two on the Northern Gold Coast. My love of messy, nature- inspired play started during covid when I was looking for activities to do at home with my little boy.
After we all came out the other side, and life began to return to some normality, I opened a small online store consisting of sensory kits and hand painted wooden dolls which I loved. Through this, I connected with so many beautiful families but always felt like something was missing.
I had noticed there was a lack of messy play experiences in our area, especially any that embraced the beautiful outdoors. This was something that really mattered to me, as I believe the natural world around us provides such an enriching environment for children, and adults alike.
From there, the idea was born to create something that mums and their little ones could genuinely look forward to each week- a fun, welcoming space where children can get messy, explore, and learn through play, while mums are warmly welcomed to feel connected, supported and safe.
I’ve always been passionate about thoughtful, open-ended play, the kind that gives children the freedom to get messy, follow their curiosity, use their imaginations and connect with the world around them.
What began as a love of creating inviting, meaningful and nature- inspired play experiences for local families has grown into the beautiful Sprout & Bloom community we have today, from our Nature Play sessions and special events to parties, hire packages and new opportunities for children as they grow.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to get to know so many beautiful families and love welcoming all the new faces we see each week.
Introducing Ash
Qualified Teacher
I'd love you to meet Ash, who has become such a special part of
Sprout & Bloom.
Ash is a qualified primary teacher with more than 10 years of experience working with children across a wide range of ages and learning stages. She brings such a thoughtful understanding of child development, learning and play, and has a beautiful way of noticing what children are interested in and gently helping that learning grow.
She is especially passionate about helping children build confidence, independence and strong foundations for learning in ways that still feel natural and joyful.
Ash's warmth, teaching experience and love of meaningful play make her such a natural fit for where Sprout & Bloom is growing next.
